Counting down the days

This photo, with the writing already on it, was sent to me via e-mail by a friend.

The man in the photo is Barak Hussein Obama, and he will be leaving the White House in January 2017, whether or not he wants to do so.

In America, a "girlie man", sometimes spelled "girly man", is a man who has a very small amount of masculinity.

Does this man look like he is capable of making cool-headed decisions as the Commander-in-Chief if-and-when the United States has to fight a real war against Russia, China, or one of their allies?

Real men don't ride bicycles that have training wheels.

Link to a website that is counting down the days, hours, and minutes until Bam-Bam is out of office.

This is why I call him Bam-Bam.  He truly has the mind of a child.

A child who never learned to play with other children.

He has 781 days and 15 hours left as a resident of the White House as of the date that I published this page.

Another reply to a GOP fundraising letter

The letter was sent to me through e-mail by someone named Chris McNulty and authorized by the Republican National Committee.

This is how I responded:
I am a proud member of the Tea Party.  I want our party to embrace the overwhelming unifying force that was embodied in the awesome presence of President Abraham Lincoln, who brought two parts of the United States back together when they had been shooting at each other.

In contrast, President Barak Obama has been trying to divide my country into different factions by class, by race, and by other useless criteria.  I haven't seen the GOP, as a group, say to him in any public manner, and with any kind of effort, that he was wrong to do so.

When he gave orders for Christian members of the U.S. military to be denied access to Bibles, rosary beads, written letters from Catholic bishops, and other blatantly-unconstitutional forms of religious discrimination, you didn't tell him that he was wrong and you didn't tell Congress that he was wrong.

When he wanted to divert billions of taxpayer dollars from domestic programs to welfare for illegal aliens, you didn't say no.

When he took sides in a local murder trial against George Zimmerman, by saying "If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon Martin", you didn't tell him that the outcome of the trial was none of his business, and that as the President, he had more important things to worry about.

When the number of his impeachable offenses became larger than Nixon's and Clinton's combined, you didn't lobby the House Judiciary Committee to begin writing impeachment articles.  You didn't even publicize what those offenses were, which would have helped to organize public support for them.

But those aren't the biggest examples of a party that has given up on the idea of being loyal to the country and yet a party that opposes the policies of the Democrat Party. This is much worse.  When conservative members of the party have become the sole nominee of the party in an election, you have actually helped the Democrat candidate!

This is inexcusable.  I cannot in good conscience continue to support your party because you are no longer supporting the country.  Instead, you are supporting a President who hates the country's founding fathers and our founding ideas.

I will contribute money and, on my blogs, ideas that are designed to help individual conservative candidates.  If you want my support, support them.

This gun also saved lives

In January 2013, I wrote an essay on this blog called This gun saved lives.  It was about a woman who was at home with two small children when a stranger broke into the house.  The woman was armed with a handgun, and on the advice of the police, she and the children tried to hide in the attic of the house.  The intruder apparently heard them, because he went upstairs, looking for them.

Unfortunately for the intruder, the woman was armed with a handgun, and she had been taught how to use it by her loving husband.  The intruder was shot five times and later arrested.  The woman and her two children were not harmed because she defended herself.

This is what happened at a Philadelphia hospital in late July

As reported by the website Philly.com on July 26th.  I copied the first seven paragraphs of their article and added a comment after the sixth paragraph.
A troubled patient opened fire on a caseworker and psychiatrist in a small office at a unit of Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Delaware County on Thursday afternoon, police said, leading the doctor to draw his own weapon and shoot the assailant.

The confrontation left the caseworker, 53-year-old Theresa Hunt, dead and the 52-year-old psychiatrist, a veteran doctor at the hospital whom sources identified as Lee Silverman, with a graze wound to the head.  The patient, Richard Plotts, was in critical condition Thursday night from three gunshot wounds.

The violence sent a shock wave through the normally quiet campus of the medical center on the border of Darby Borough and Yeadon.  Police vehicles swarmed the scene and armed officers charged through the building - the Sister Marie Lenahan Wellness Center, across Lansdowne Avenue from the main hospital - to evacuate doctors, nurses, and patients waiting for routine appointments.

Authorities said they believed Silverman shot Plotts three times in the torso and arm.  Silverman was expected to be released from the hospital Thursday night and recover fully.

Plotts, of Upper Darby, who appeared to have a long criminal record, was undergoing surgery Thursday night at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  If he survives, he will be charged Friday with murder, Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan said.

It was not clear why Silverman, a doctor for nearly 25 years, was armed at the office.  Bernice Ho, a spokeswoman for Mercy Fitzgerald, said Thursday it was against hospital policy for anyone other than security guards to carry weapons.

[I bet the hospital administrator is already rethinking this policy.]

Donald Molineux, chief of the Yeadon Police Department, said that if Silverman returned fire and wounded Plotts, he "without a doubt saved lives."
Without any doubt whatsoever.  This doctor, armed with nothing but a handgun, his firearms training, and some simple common sense, saved lives.

Other news sources have reported that Mr. Plotts had over a dozen extra bullets in his possession when he was shot.  It's not too hard to draw the conclusion that he intended to kill more than just one person.

And this is what happened in a Baltimore hospital in September 2010

As reported by ABC News on September 16, 2010.

Please note that when this doctor was attacked by a man who had a handgun, the doctor was unarmed, and so, he was badly wounded.

Please also note that this article has its' own links to other articles.
A gunman upset over news about his mother's medical condition opened fire inside Baltimore's Johns Hopkins Hospital Thursday morning, wounding a doctor before fatally shooting his mom and then turning the gun on himself.

Warren Davis, 50, the alleged gunman, grew "overwhelmed" when the doctor told him about the care of his mother, Jean Davis, and pulled a small semi-automatic handgun from his waistband at about 11:11 a.m., according to Baltimore Police Commissioner Frederick Bealefeld.

"[Davis] was receiving some news about the care and condition of his mother just outside the doorway of [her] room and he became emotionally distraught and reacted," said Bealefeld.
Davis then "fired a single gunshot that struck the doctor in the lower chest, upper abdomen," said Bealefeld.

ABC News has confirmed that the injured doctor is Dr. David Cohen, an orthopedic physician who specializes in spine surgery, osteoporosis and scoliosis, according to his biography on the hospital's website. He was rushed to the operating room and is expected to make a full recovery.

"The doctor collapsed just outside the doorway of the room and Mr. Davis was last seen running into the room brandishing the handgun in the direction of his mother, who was confied to her bed," said Bealefeld.

Hillary, the timely presence of the U.S. Sixth Fleet could have made a very big difference on September 11th, 2012.

Just look how much difference one Philadelphia doctor made a few weeks ago when he was armed with one handgun.

Only one person died from angry gunfire, and the angry gunman was injured, arrested, and he will be prosecuted on the charge of murder.

Political speech is alive in America

It is often a sign of contempt when someone changes someone else's name or likeness.

Some people did it to Jimmy Carter.

The photo on the right wasn't photoshopped.

Some people did it to Ronald Reagan.

This photo is not photoshopped.

Others did it to George W. Bush by calling him "Shrub" and by photoshopping his photo.

These are similar illustrations of Obama.
Notice his two black eyes?

He even satirizes himself!

Which is it?  Are Muslims tolerant or intolerant?

These are similar illustrations of Bill Clinton.

Well, I have plenty of contempt for former I.R.S. Commissioner John Koskinen because of his contempt for the rule of law, his contempt of the U.S. Congress and for his contempt of the American people, so I'm publishing this photo of two people who had to have been separated at birth.

These are similar illustrations of Donald Trump.

This section was added on April 20, 2019.

This one looks like soft-serve ice cream.

I think that look was deliberate.

Even Air Force One, the President's airplane, can be the subject of a politically-oriented caricature.

We shall never surrender

“You ask, What is our policy?  I will say; ‘It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us: to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy.’

You ask, What is our aim?  I can answer with one word: Victory— victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival.”

- Winston Churchill

I wish I knew what my President's policies were.  If I did, I might be able to understand why he released five of the world's worst mass-murderers from a Cuban prison that was under our control.  I might also be able to understand why he allowed a highly-classified unmanned aircraft to land safely in Iran in December 2011.  I might be able to understand why he has added more debt to the United States Treasury than all of our previous presidents combined.  I might be able to understand why he has so little respect for our system of government that he has tried to change our laws without the necessary Congressional votes to change those laws.

[Note: Every one of the more than 30 changes that he claims to have made to the health care law, including the delays in the application deadlines and the exemptions given to certain American businesses, is therefore null and void.]

I might be able to understand why he has shown so much enthusiasm for trying to control the lives of the average American and his family through the use of literally thousands of regulations from agencies including the Interior Department (which includes the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service), the Environmental Protection Agency, the Treasury Department (which includes the Internal Revenue Service) and the Justice Department (which sent large numbers of arms to Mexican drug gangs and which has steadfastly refused to defend our southern border against the continued invasion of armed and sometimes disease-carrying Mexicans).

If I could know what Barak Obama's highest personal policies were, I might even be able to understand why he has risked the lives of so many of our uniformed military serving in Afghanistan and other places by giving them highly restrictive Rules of Engagement.  These rules prevent them, in many, many cases, from shooting at people who are shooting at them.  In addition, he has given our fighting forces inadequate training and ammunition.  Further, he has demoralized them by forcing them to accept people in the ranks who are unsuited for the requirements of military life.

Even further, he has taken away the sacred relationship between uniformed servicemen and the military chaplains.

Sometimes, a chaplain is the last person to speak with a soldier before he dies of injuries that he received on a battlefield.

That soldier, in his last moments of life on this earth, desperately needs the spiritual comfort that a chaplain can give him.

  I shall never surrender

“We shall not flag or fail.  We shall go on to the end.

V stands for Victory
an unknown concept to my president
We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and the oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be.

We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.”

-Winston Churchill

I know one thing for sure.

Barak Obama is a Muslim.

This explains why he has been so sympathetic towards violent Muslims.
Interview with George Stephanopoulis
September 7, 2008

But it does not explain his utter contempt for the highest law in my country, the United States Constitution, which gives him (and Congress) limited powers and gives all the other power to the states and to the American people (look up the tenth amendment).

I will never give in

“Never give in–never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense.  Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”

- Winston Churchill, whose attitude helped his nation  (and mine) win a war against a violent enemy

Barak Hussein Obama, you are an emeny of my country

Because you have fought against the best interests of my country for as long as you have been President, I will fight you.

I will fight you in my home state of Massachusetts.  If you attempt to close national parks, as you did last year, I will go to Washington, D.C. and fight you and your un-American policies there.

I will fight you on the seas and the oceans.  I will fight you with growing confidence and strength on this blog and on conservative talk radio.  I will defend my right to speak and write political thoughts, whatever the cost may be.

I will fight on the beaches, I will fight on the landing grounds, I will fight in the fields and in the streets.  I will fight in the hills.  I will never give up.

By the way, Bam-Bam, your idol Mohammed was a child molester.

If you don't like it, go pound sand.

As long as you're visiting the beaches in Normandy, France, feel free to use that sand.  I know that you have no other use for it, but free people all around the world are glad that, 70 years ago today, some brave people, led by Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill and their military commanders, did have a use for that sand.

This photo was taken 70 years ago today.

My 24-hour international audience

Introduction

Ever since I published an essay called Trojan horse legislation on my "Conserving the Nation" blog, I have seen a dramatic increase in the number of international visitors to that blog.

More than a week after the essay was published, there is still an extremely large audience for that essay, and I am extremely grateful for all the people all over the world who have read it.  I have seen more than 100 people per day reading that blog every day for weeks!

As a blog author, I have access to the names of the countries that have read one or more of my blog essays over various time periods.
  1. two hours

  2. 24 hours (one day)

  3. one week

  4. one month

  5. since the blog was begun
However, even I cannot see more than ten countries on any list that covers a specific time period.  This is part of the reason why I have recorded the names of the countries that have visited my "Conserving the Nation" blog during the past hours and days.

In an effort to document, for the benefit of my readers, the immense additional international readership, and in order to try to maintain the accuracy of the Readership Statistics page for that blog, I updated that page yesterday with the international readership over the previous 24 hours and the previous two hours.

The international readership of that blog has continued, approximately twelve hours later.  The number of readers per hour has gone down, but the number of countries that have seen one of the essays on that blog is still going up, so I have decided to create this page.  There is only one reason for it.  I want to document the international readers.

All these visitors will be added to my list of international readers when I update that page.

Starting approximately 8pm December 17, 2015, my "Water Economics" essay, which had over 600 readers per day for almost two months is now being read by even more people, so I am using this page to document it, just as I did then.

Thank you, Anheuser-Busch

Thank you twice.

This television commercial, sponsored by the Anheuser-Busch company, aired only one time, immediately after the mass-murder on September 11, 2001.

This video honors the men and women who honor our country by protecting it in any one of several military uniforms in any one of several very dangerous parts of the world, sometimes at the cost of their lives and always at the cost of the time they could be spending with their families, friends, and better-paying jobs.

I, David A. Cain, pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,

and to the republic for which it stands.

One nation under God.

Indivisible.

With liberty and justice for all.
