We're having extra guests for Thanksgiving

Thank you, Gary Varvel.

This editorial cartoon was originally published in an online newspaper run by the Indianapolis Star.

After this cartoon was seen by the public, a few people complained, as some people always do when a politically-incorrect viewpoint is aired.

The newspaper changed the cartoon by removing the moustache from the man who was climbing in the window, and the newspaper moved the cartoon to a different part of the website.

This is increasing evidence that the only viewpoint that will be seen by a large percentage of America is the politically correct viewpoint.

I haven't been politically correct since I began blogging.  Link to an essay I wrote in July 2012 called The End of Racism.  This essay proves that race is a meaningless concept.  That's the reason why racism will end.

Fortunately for me, I don't have to kneel down when I meet the editor of a newspaper.

If you think this cartoon is racist, please tell me which race is being discriminated against, and please tell me what makes you think that any of the characters in this political cartoon are members of this race.

Link to a web page that really is racist because of a difference in clothing styles and skin colors.  The web page is also sexist because one character is male and the other one is female.  By the way, where is the second world in their diagram?  It's apparently as invisible as the middle class in America, and just as useless to the radical leftists.

A group of people who work for other people and who receive a moderate amount of income for the work that they do are a bridge from poverty to wealth, but hard-core radical leftists hate wealthy people, so they don't want anyone to know that it is possible to go from poverty to wealth through hard work.

Try not to cry

Ashley Picco died in her sleep.  She was married and pregnant.

A few days later, doctors performed an emergency Cesarean Section to try to save the baby, only 24 weeks old.

While the baby, named Lennon, was dying in an incubator, Chris, his father, sang this Beatles song and played it on a guitar.

Lennon Picco died a few days after his father sang to him.

Link to the story, on the website of the Christian Post.

This page, on the website DailyMotion, includes narration of the story while you watch Chris singing.

Sir Paul McCartney sang the same song live in 2004 at the Glastonbury Music Festival.

This video was uploaded to YouTube in 2009 but this video hasn't been watched two and a half million times yet.

This is a video of Chris Picco, singing at a memorial service for Baby Lennon and his Ashley, his wife.

Canadian friends are some of my best friends

On the same day that a man shot and killed a Canadian soldier who was guarding the Canadian Parliament ...

This photo was taken minutes before he died.

... Jeff Jimerson, who was scheduled to sing the American National Anthem at a hockey game ...

... started by singing the Canadian national anthem.

Thank you, Jeff.

My late wife and I vacationed in rural Nova Scotia.  All of the people we met there were the friendliest people we've ever known.  My late wife's closest girlfriend was a woman she met when she, as a girl, were taken on vacations there by her parents.  The two girls met and became life-long friends.  They both graduated from nursing schools, and they both telephoned each other at least once a month until my late wife's last illness.

Make sure you watch the video.

Elections have consequences

I didn't say it, Bam-Bam and his Democrat friends did.

... but I do agree with the people who gleefully said it in 2012.

Please excuse me while I laugh some more ....

Oh by the way, Democrats, if your party had not forced America to accept some very bad policies, like:
  • a sharply-reduced military strength,

  • poor relations with America's traditional friends in Europe and the Middle East, including Israel and the secular governments of Egypt, Syria, and Libya,

  • hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars spent on the Muslim Brotherhood instead of being spent in our own country,

  • weapons and ammunition being purchased from U.S. gun stores and then shipped directly to Mexican drug gangs, who then used them to murder Americans including Brian Terry

  • using the I.R.S. like a political weapon to hurt the people on your enemies list (remember Lois Lerner?),

  • using the National Security Agency to collect information on American journalists (remember James Rosen?)

  • sending Border Patrol agents away from the border,

  • refusing to spend money, already allocated by Congress, on a fence to protect the U.S. from illegal aliens, some of whom are carrying Muslim prayer rugs, and others who are carrying diseases,

  • refusing to listen to medically-qualified personnel who told you, in no uncertain terms, to protect the residents of this country from deadly diseases like ebola and the entero-virus,
... you would not have to explain your election losses to your friends.

One more thing. There was a time in America's not-too-distant past, when being "liberal" meant being open-minded.

Are you open-minded to the possibility of building a pipeline that would transport oil and natural gas from Canada into the United States?

Are you open-minded to the possibility of strengthening our country's borders, so that the only people who will enter are healthy people?

These are the first two paragraphs of an article dated October 6, 2014 published by the Washington Times.
Communicable diseases continue to be a problem at the New Mexico facility built to house illegal immigrant families surging across the U.S.-Mexico border, and the immigrants themselves aren’t taking their own health care very seriously, according to an audit released Monday.

While the Border Patrol is doing a good job of handling the surge of illegal immigrant children traveling alone without their parents, the families who are being housed at a special facility continue to have health problems and trouble using the bathroom, the Homeland Security inspector general said.

Are you open-minded to the possibility of building a wall from San Diego, California to Brownsville, Texas?  The money has already been approved by Congress, so it won't add a penny to the deficit.

Are you open-minded to the possibility of using armed soldiers from the U.S. Army or the National Guard in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas to enforce the security of this wall, as mentioned in my 12/21/15 essay about emigration?

Are you open-minded to the possibility of reducing foreign aid to countries that are controlled by radical Muslims?

Are you open-minded to the possibility of reducing the top income tax rate for individuals and corporations, which would have the effect of increasing the amount of money that is received by the U.S. Treasury?

Are you open-minded to the possibility of impeaching a man who truly deserves to be impeached, the President of the United States?

The policies that you push during the next two years will have consequences, too.

I just thought you should hear it from me before I start laughing again.
