Memorial Day 2015

This is what the Democrat Party posted on its' official Twitter account (@TheDemocrats) on Friday, May 22nd (two days ago).

This is the photo that came with the tweet.

Did he visit Arlington National Cemetery?  No.

Did he visit any cemetery?  No.

Does he think about the sacrifices made by our veterans?

No, he was thinking about his ice-cream cone.

The Commander of Fort Hood, Texas, the place where an Army psychiatrist named Nidal Malik Hasan, who is a member of the "religion of peace", killed 13 soldiers and wounded 30 others, ordered that its' soldiers would commemorate Memorial Day this year not with an ice-cream cone, but with a pair of boots on the ground for every one of their soldiers who was killed in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Link to a 8/30/14 story in the Los Angeles Times about Nidal Malik Hasan's request to join "the Islamic State", made from Death Row.

Every pair of boots represents a life taken
by a murderous Muslim named Nidal Hasan
at Fort Hood on November 5, 2009.
This was someone's husband
and someone else's father.
He should not have died.

The soldiers who died at Fort Hood are now eligible to receive Purple Hearts for the injuries, including the 13 soldiers who received fatal injuries.  Link to a story on the ABC News website dated February 6, 2015.

The law was changed mostly by the dedicated efforts of U.S. Senator Ted Cruz.  Link to the page, dated April 17, 2015, on his official U.S. Senate website that mentions it.

Mister President, Memorial Day is meant for remembering the people who died to preserve the liberty that we have today in America.

While you're enjoying your liberty and your ice-cream cone, we're not enjoying your disrespect for the people who made it possible for you to have either one of them.
